The Financial Literacy Wing of Bangladesh Infrastructure Finance Fund Limited (BIFFL) held a day-long awareness program on November 11, 2024, at Mehmud Industries Private Limited (MIPL) in Gazipur. With the theme “Uses and Advantages of Digital Transactions,” the event aimed to empower garment workers and employees with essential knowledge about digital financial tools.
The session was designed to be interactive and engaging, incorporating presentations, group discussions, and a Q&A session. A total of 26 participants, including 19 women, attended the program, gaining valuable insights into how digital platforms can simplify financial transactions, improve money management, and enhance financial security. The program also addressed common risks associated with digital transactions, providing practical tips for safe usage.
Key speakers included Md. Arifur Rahman, Head of BIFFL's Financial Literacy Wing, along with Mehnaz Hossain and Rajia Sultana, members of the same wing. Their expertise and interactive approach ensured that the participants had a clear understanding of the topics covered. Additionally, Md. Sadekuzzaman, General Manager of MIPL, represented the factory and contributed to the discussion, enriching the session with practical perspectives from industry.
