CSR ACTIVITIES
Always keen and watchful about its Corporate Social Responsibilities over the year among which few are mentionable hereunder:
- CONTRIBUTION TO PRIME MINISTERS RELIEF AND WELFARE FUND
Bangladesh Infrastructure Finance Fund Limited contributes every year a certain amount of assistance in the PM’s Relief and Welfare Fund as CSR responsibility. This year BIFFL contributed BDT. 1,000,000.00 to this Fund on 23 March 2017.
- RELIEF FOR CYCLONE MORA AND FLOOD
Bangladesh is country of natural calamities. Every year a number of regions of this country are affected with floods, cyclones, droughts and other man-made hazards. This year Bangladesh has been affected by cyclone Mora in the southern regions. BIFFL has responded promptly to deal with the disaster. BIFFL conducted Relief Program for cyclone Mora affected 150 families at Moheshkhali/Chokoria of Coz’s Bazar of BDT 191,120.00 on 03 June 2017. Besides, On 13 July 2017, BIFFL conducted another Relief Program for 150 flood affected families of Mohonganj, Netrokona of BDT 188,750.00.
- DUSTBIN INSTALLATION
BIFFL always promotes clean and pollution free environment and boost the initiatives taken by other organizations or entities. In this regard, BIFFL installed Dust Bins at Inani Beach Point, Cox’s Bazar at a cost of BDT 45,694.00 on 13 January 2017 and contributed BDT 57,000.00 to Royal Tulip, a five-star hotel, for Beach Cleaning Program at Inani Beach Cox’s bazar on 02 May 2017.
- IFTAR AND DINNER FOR THE ORPHANS
BIFFL always feels compassion and remains concerned in nourishing and inspiring orphans, helpless children and destitute. In 2017, BIFFL arranged Iftar and Dinner for three hundred orphans of Sir Salimullah Muslim Orphanage on 08 June 2017.
- VOLUNTARY BLOOD DONATION PROGARM
Every year BIFFL arranges voluntary Blood Donation Program to promote free blood donations to the patients who direly need it or cannot afford to buy it. This year BIFFL also organizes a voluntary Blood Donation Program on its premises where lots of people including employees of BIFFL donated blood.
- FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO CANCER AND INCONSPICUOUS DISEASES
Because of financial constraints many brilliant students and lone wage earner of a family die every year leaving their family helpless. BIFFL not only helps these people financially but also advises and arranges fund for them. In 2017, BIFFL gave financial assistance of BDT 68,500.00 to two cancer patients namely Sohel Matubbar of Diyapara village of Madarypur District and Iqbal Hossain of Dakshin Rangamatia of Fatik chhari, Chittagong.
